I've been pretty inactive so I decided to get started again with just a bunch of short sketches. I've been getting a lot of super-cheap discounted "cinematic" samples and instruments lately so I'm experimenting with them. This piece includes Juggernaut, Film Score Companion, Evolve Mutations, and Gongs and Timpani from EWQL Symphonic.

Exciting! Would go well with an action sequence, I think.

BAM indeed
Very cool Graham - great chase scene music. Nicely put together with the piano and tympani under the stabs and crescendo horns. Very evocative. I'm not familiar with Juggernaut and Film Score Companion and will check them out.

Funky Plugins
I got them super discounted through Plugin Boutique. At full price I'm not sure they would be worth it, but I got them both at more than a 90% discount! Cheap enough to experiment with for sure.

Short but short....
Nifty sketch. Like a more abstract Carl Stalling queue.

Maybe a little less comedic
Thanks for the Stalling reference. Someone to aspire too. That guy was a genius!

Isn't it great fun to do something like this :-) I found a folder with a dozen fx sounds on my hard drive some years ago and made a similar piece. Yeah, great fun :-)

Thanks and take care,

Classically trained composer and orchestrator. Been doing sound design and synthesis for a long time. Enjoying the incredible power of computers and samples, but it's great just to sit down with a guitar or analog synth and just play too. Graham ... [see more]
