Listening to this at the office...
It does have that Eno-esque 'ambient' quality of being capable of being "as 'background' as you want it to be", but it also has a period piece quality and enough melody that you can put it more at the forefront of your consciousness and still enjoy the listen... It has a nicely meditative quality...

In the office, something nice happened when the 'pedal' note came in...it added more than I would have expected...

Very enjoyable...

Double Fouble
Fascinating. I had never heard of the instrument and looked it up - seems it's a double flute (I presume that's what the title's about?). What's the difference between the two, or is it just that it is double? Anyway, lovely music is coming out of it!

Double
Yes, it's a double recorder. The single version is called a Sopilka, which I heard some Belarusian group play a while ago. When I look up their instruments I found this double instruments. It's quite clever: if you use the same fingering for both hands, you play in nice thirds. For my next trick I will make my hands a little more independent.

hearing double
well this is very cool. the ambient effects nicely support the song. I've been playing around with droning delays/echoes for a possible project, so I'm into this type of thing right now.

Melodic Rhythm Shines!
Friendly melodic offering this time with fun phrasing. Hearing the breath and the microtonal inflections make this a pleasure, the intention is clear and it is possible to hear the individual behind the music, advanced qualities and very rare here in this community. Bravo!
For my ears please consider softening the attack on the compressor when the more strident lines appear. That function could be automated with a gate. Soft vs strident is a big part of your bag, just a little less bite on the front end.
Thanks for posting here and keeping the bar high.

Compressor
You got good ears. This is basically a bunch of effects pedals, not including any compression, run into Logic. And the Logic post-processing is minimal. Actually, I've experimented a little with some modulation effect, but only slightly. I'll see if I can improve the compression in Logic. I must say that compression is kind of a black art for me.

Lovely
It really is. I can't think of anything more constructive, but that should be enough.
