Description
So, despite my strong music upbringing, I've never had singing lessons, and never had a particularly strong voice either. But the falsetto range has always felt very natural [I think I uploaded a piece a couple years ago with me in falsetto asking if it was okay]. After seeing some counter-tenors on youtube, I definitely wanted to try it. Yes, I'm heavily flawed, yes I have very limited power, yes I struggle with the long phrases (one passage here has about 40 seconds in for one breath, I can't manage that!), yes I have very little diaphragm control, yes my voice is far too airy and inpure.

But it's a first try, and if i find a good counter-tenor teacher, maybe I can improve, at least that's the plan. This, however is a first little "feeler", with the first part of Vedro con Mio Diletto by Vivaldi, which is just beautiful vocal writing, and some strings and harpsichord I played over the back in Logic.

Anyway, just putting it out there, as a tiny feeler thing. Maybe you'll like it, maybe you'll not like it, any and all feedback is welcome!

Lyrics
Vedro con mio diletto,
L'alma del l'alma mia,
del l'alma mia,
il core del mio cor,
Pien di contento
Pien di contento.

Vedro con mio diletto,
L'alma del l'alma mia,
del l'alma mia,
Il cor di questo cor
Pien di contento,
Pien di contento.

However
You are very good at dissing yourself and your vocal powers ;-) I sure couldn't tell this from a master of the art, anyway. I suppose good can always get better in the music business, but I'd say you're already way ahead of most...

So, much enjoyed. Thanks and take care,
Henke

Oh leave off
I know you’re over complimenting :P but thanks for the kind feedback, I’ve been practising and have improved from this embarrassment.

Blimey!
That was surprise.

As Henke says, you do yourself down. That's an accomplished piece of work. I have to say I didn't see you as a counter-tenor but then again I don't know any counter-tenors personally (until now).

Very nicely arranged and performed.

Cheers

Dick

A surprise
Indeed. It’s not great I know, but thanks for lasting it out. I’m practising and learning and honestly gradually learning vocal control. It’s a long journey and I don’t expect to post anything good for the next 12 months but seeing my journey along the way might be nice thanks for listening, I haven’t hears about a meet in a while, send me an email.

Pretty darn good for a tester, Nahum. You do sound comfortable in the range and your vocal sounded composed and natural against the quality backer. Sounds like you have found a niche. Kudos. Take care.

I do
I do feel comfortable. Below the A below middle C I get very nervous and don’t think I have anything to offer, and my baritone is lacking even the slightest control, but in the higher ranges on falsetto, I can find a bare basic instrument that, with the right guidance, can present an acceptable tone.

Don't sell yourself short. This is fantastic. I didn't know you were this gifted.

Gifted
Gifted might be an overstatement. Just a feeler track for now, have put a new one up since!
