Lyrics
As the night fell
And the darkness
Came knocking on the door,
He sought answers
From the porter,
“Friend or foe to where I go?”

Suddenly all confidence was gone.
All at once the music left his song.

As the rains came
And flood waters,
His heart hoped for higher ground.
On the billows
There a Lighthouse,
Through the mist a Harbor found.

A beacon to guide the weary throng
Where right had conquered wrong
Then at last new music... filled his song.

I figured you would do this, and it didn't take ya long at all. Well done...

Thanks...
Daug,
Actually it took 7 years, sort of. The chords and melody were laid down in a song sketch in 2011. Upon Phil’s departure from this life I sat down, wrote the lyrics and recorded the tracks. I appreciate your comments. Thanks...

Sorry I'm late Jack!
Wow, this is really pretty. There is indeed a Lighthouse!

7 years eh? Guess it was waiting for the optimum time.

A fitting and most worthy tribute to one who was among the finest of us here at MJ.

I miss him too.

I miss him too. May he rest in peace.

Thanks Mike...
I just wanted to record a song that might be fitting to mark Phil’s death. As you said, he’ll be missed.

Kind
I appreciate the message in this tribute. It expresses feelings i think we all go through. The instrumentation served as the perfect platform for your vocals.
