Description
I was giving my friend, Rick, a demo on how I compose my songs; and this is what I came up with from that demo. Rick's a photographer, and he decided that one of his recent photos (included) would be good to use as the album art for this song. So, there you have it. I created the song without my hearing aids in, so you may want to listen at a lower volume.

Not my idea of blues.
Interesting stuff.

Go Now
Yes, it could be a stretch for being called a blues song, but I based it on the sound of the vocals. The instrumentals are not blues-like -- that's why I went with the "contemporary" blues genre. Could someone suggest a better genre classification for this piece? Thanks

Genre
Pending a better classification than "contemporary" blues, I've labeled this song as "other".

More rock than blues...
Very cool! Nice guitar work. Horn section could be a little cleaner and louder. But again...NICE guitar throughout. Enjoyed your vocal refrain as well!

Thank you!
I found that what I'm hearing might not be what others are hearing. It could be either my hearing aids (or lack of) or my iMac speakers. In any event, I've still got a lot to learn about how to use EQ settings. Thanks for listening and your comments.

I like the "ay hay" bit in particular.
It seems like it's building to something, but then stops. Maybe you should fix that.

Build
I've heard this comment in the past from people about other pieces I've created. In a number of my songs, I build up only to end abruptly, where you wouldn't expect it to end -- that's actually intentional. I tend to do that or fade out slowly -- as a personal style thing.
